What It Does
Renting dozers in Utah
A dozer moves material in bulk and shapes what is left behind. Cutting pads, pushing spoil, stripping topsoil, and finishing grade are all dozer work, and on a machine running GPS grade control the finished surface comes in without a grade checker walking behind the blade.
Choosing a size
- Small dozers
- Residential pads, landscaping, and finish work where a big blade would be unmanageable. Light enough to move without heavy transport.
- Medium dozers
- The general-purpose class for site prep and pad work — enough blade and horsepower for production without the transport burden of a large machine.
- Large dozers
- Mass grading and heavy pushing where volume is the whole point.
Common jobs
- Cutting and shaping building pads
- Stripping topsoil and clearing sites
- Rough and finish grading
- Pushing and spreading fill in lifts
- Road and access construction

Questions
Dozers rental questions
- What is GPS grade control and do I need it?
- The blade is guided against a digital design model, so the machine cuts to design without stakes and constant checking. It pays for itself fastest on large flat areas and on any surface with tight tolerance. See our GPS and 3D page for detail.
- Can a dozer do finish grade?
- Yes, and a machine with grade control does it considerably more consistently. On tight-tolerance work the difference shows up in how much rework you avoid, not in how fast the first pass goes.
- How do I get a dozer to my site?
- Dozers need trailer transport. Delivery is available and quoted separately from the rental — it is not part of the base rate.
