What It Does
Renting concrete equipment in Utah
Concrete work is unforgiving about timing, and the equipment is what keeps you ahead of the pour. Mixing, placing, screeding, and finishing each have a window, and missing it is not something you can fix afterwards. The tools here cover the pour itself and the cutting and demolition that comes before and after.
Choosing a size
- Mixing and placing
- Portable mixers for volumes that do not justify a ready-mix truck, plus the buggies and barrows to move it once it is mixed.
- Screeding and finishing
- Vibratory screeds to strike off level, then walk-behind or ride-on power trowels to bring the surface to finish.
- Cutting and demolition
- Walk-behind and handheld saws for control joints and cut-outs, and breakers for removal.
Common jobs
- Mixing and placing on small to mid-size pours
- Screeding and levelling slabs
- Power trowelling to a finished surface
- Cutting control joints and saw-cutting existing slab
- Breaking and removing old concrete

Questions
Concrete Equipment rental questions
- When should I cut control joints?
- Early enough to control where the slab cracks and late enough that the edges do not ravel — typically within the first day, with the exact window depending on mix and conditions. Plan to have the saw on site before you think you need it.
- Do I need a power trowel for a small slab?
- For a garage or shed slab, hand finishing is usually fine. Once the area gets large enough that you cannot finish it inside the working window, a trowel stops being optional.
- Do you rent concrete saws with a water feed?
- Wet cutting controls dust and extends blade life, and is often required for silica exposure compliance. Ask the yard which units are set up for it.
